Perry-Como 1912-2001 a Italian-American singer. In 1982 Como & Frank-Sinatra were invited to the White-House State-Dinner, when he song for them the Santa-Lucia title. Part of the entertainment was also for the Queen-Elizabeth & the Royal's visit. In 1984 he had the opportunity to play the title My-Days-Of-Loving-You with "Orch. Nick-Perito" in 1971 after his his closest collaborator since 1963 Como said in a 1983 interview, "I thought I'd have my fun and I'd go home to work even without the shop worked out. After Hollywood-Walk Of Fame he received the Christopher-Award, Peabody-Award, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences & Kennedy-Center Honor in 1987, plus the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002 which was inducted into the Long-Island Music Hall of Fame in 2006. While Perry was negotiating for a store leasea of the Barber-Shop to be re-opened he received a call from Tommy-Rockwell at General-Artists Corporation & trusted Rockwell, who was offering him supportive job's for Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) radio show & promised to get him a recording contract. The offers were also appealing because it meant staying put in NYC with no more road tours. His appearance was missing at leat for 26 years when he accepted an engagement at the International Hotel in Las-Vegas Nevada 1970, which also resulted in his first "live" album, 1974 outside of the USA. It was in Palladium Great-Britain to aid children-charities with Fund's the Queen-Mother in attendance, and was invited to visit Buckingham-Palace where he planned to do another UK concert in spring of 1975. Andy-Williams Show won three Emmy-Awards in 1963, 1966, and 1967 for Outstanding Variety Series too with six Grammy nominations. He loved playing Golf tournament in San-Diego from 1968-1988 at Torrey-Pines, known as the "Andy Williams San Diego Open". On Christmas shows Dean-Martin was there too with him.
